Flu Season is Coming Soon!
We did not see much influenza last year because everyone was being careful with masking and hand washing. There’s no way to predict what will happen this year.
It is possible to contract both influenza and COVID-19 simultaneously!
We will be giving out the influenza vaccine beginning mid-Sept. It is included in the membership. Please contact us to make an appointment.
Do you need a third Pfizer or Moderna COVID vaccine?
Currently the recommendation is for people over 65 or those with weakened immune systems to receive a third shot at least 28 days after the original series. This information is changing daily and we will try to keep you updated on the most accurate evidence based information. For those that received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, recommendations have not yet been released.
Examples of patients who would qualify include:
1.Are receiving cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
2. Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
3. Received a stem cell transplant within the last two years
4. Have moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (e.g., DiGeorge syndrome, WiskottAldrich
syndrome)
5. Have an advanced or untreated HIV infection
6. Are taking medicine that may suppress immune response

For $15 for member patients, we can measure the titers of IGG antibody that is produced as a result of receiving the vaccine.
